Adey Steel Ltd have an exciting opportunity for an Estimator with structural steel experience to join our growing Commercial team. Knowledge of estimating heavy structural steel commercial and industrial projects will be key as you will be working on large scale steel structures including bridges, gantries and bespoke fabrications.
The role will be predominately office based although occasional site/client visits will be required as and when. The role requires working from architectural and structural detailed drawings so previous experience and knowledge of these is essential.

You will analyse the customers' requirements and using accurate material, fabrication and labour costs provide a quality written submission for the project to obtain the best price to win the contract whilst ensuring the project can be carried out profitably.

You will also be involved in the compiling of pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions.

What we are looking for:

23 years relevant structural steel estimating experience within a similar environment.
Excellent time management, interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
Good working knowledge of the Steel industry best practices and standards
Excellent IT and numeracy skills with the ability to work with standard software packages such as Excel.
Ability to travel and perform client/site visits when required.

Hours of work 39 per week
Monday - Thursday , Friday
