    Description

    Senior Accountant

    A growing and forward thinking Boutique Advisory Firm is seeking a Junior Senior Accountant to join their busy Belfast team.

    This is an opportunity for an ambitious and dedicated individual seeking a rewarding opportunity in a role that offers fantastic variety.

    The Role:

    • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, providing exceptional service and support
    • Conduct monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet nominals
    • Prepare and process journals accurately and efficiently
    • Finalize management account packs to meet client needs and deadlines
    • Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with regulations
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements for various entities including corporate entities, LLP's, and consolidations
    • Handle the preparation of Financial Conduct Authority ("FCA") regulatory returns
    • Review and prepare P11d and PAYE Settlement Agreement ("PSA") workings
    • Collaborate effectively with auditors, ensuring smooth communication and information exchange
    • Engage with clients virtually and face-to-face, fostering strong relationships
    • Provide guidance and support to junior team members as needed
    • Adhere to any ad-hoc tasks required by the team

    The Person :

    • Demonstrated ability to prepare management accounts with minimal supervision.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Experience with accounting systems such as Xero preferred but not required.
    • Familiarity with financial statements preparation using Word & Excel or similar software is desirable
    • Qualified or studying towards a professional qualification (ACCA/ACA) is a plus
    • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
    • Motivated to thrive in a fast-growing, dynamic, and challenging environment
    • Must possess a valid work permit for the UK
