About the opportunity:

We are currently looking for permanent
Jointers Mates to join our growing Operations department in the Leeds region.

As
a Jointer Mate you will support Jointer (craftsman) with electrical installations.

To undertake tasks as instructed by the Jointer (craftsman) on electricity networks from making LV services to HV connections and making sure scheduled works are completed safely, to specification, and in accordance with our customer requirements.

You will also assist in coordination of onsite electrical works to ensure full compliance with Energetics Safety Rules, Procedures, and our NERS accreditation.

Your responsibilities:


  • Supporting the Jointer with domestic, industrial, and commercial electrical connections including LV and HV.
  • Assisting with cable testing.
  • Making off service terminations, mixing resin and general housekeeping of the company vehicle and work areas.
  • Supporting the completion of risk assessments and maintain safe working practices and maintaining accurate records.
  • Completing work to the correct Energetics and DNO specifications.
  • Correct use of tools, plant, and PPE.
  • Have a good understanding of plans and drawings and be able to review and understand work instructions prior to any work commencement.
  • Carry out works in line with established safety procedures.
  • Remain responsible for all aspects of Health&Safety and Environment in this role.
  • Maintain and develop competence levels and technical skills to ensure delivery to a high standard.

Experience / Knowledge:


Essential:


  • Understanding of utility/ construction sector
  • Knowledge of Energetics Electric procedure and NERS legislation.
  • Identify industrial hazards and health and safety precautions.
  • Be Conversant with testing procedures.
  • IT literacy and ability to use computer packages to area of work. Numerate and accurate when working with figures.
  • Ability to use Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, and Access Databases.
  • Organised, methodical approach to work with excellent time management skills
