About the role


The RS Group Executive Management Team have an ambitious strategy to embed "CI as the way we work, not extra work" by simplifying the way we do things, delivering significant CI benefits and being Customer obsessed.


Reporting to the Director of Group CI, you will be leading and driving the CI programme in the defined areas.

As the CI Business Partner, you will work with the local leadership teams at all levels as well as being part of the Group CI Senior Leadership team, to establish group CI targets, support the delivery of Lean training and projects as well as increasing the CI understanding, skill set and desired CI behaviours within the group.


What you will do:

  • Work with Region / Functional Executive and Leadership teams to set CI targets aligned to the strategic priorities and goals
  • Drive functional / regional teams to create and implement plans to achieve objectives, on time and in full (OTIF)
  • Identify and lead the delivery of strategic CI (Lean Six Sigma) projects to achieve financial targets, by using Lean Six Sigma and Process Improvement methodologies, tools and techniques and appropriate project management and change management concepts
  • Provide leadership that inspires all levels of colleagues to drive continuous improvement in their areas and to sustain gains and results achieved during the projects. Support leadership teams in embedding CI as 'the way of working'
  • Ensure projects and benefits are tracked and reported in accordance with the Group CI standards, accurately and on time.
  • Meet and exceed delivery targets and improvement objectives established for CI activities within RS GROUP PLC
  • Provide regular updates to the partnered Leadership team(s) as well as the CI Group team and proactively manage communication of successes and challenges
  • Optimise customer experience by redesigning, improving and delivering value added processes and services
  • Conduct and support problem solving exercises to identify and eliminate root causes and sustain improvements
  • Share best practices from CI projects and support in the deployment of them to other locations and across the organisation as part of the wider CI Group team/programme
  • Identify and act on cost savings and standardisation opportunities, developing and enforcing methods to sustain the gains

What we're looking for

Essential:


  • Educated to degree level in a business discipline
  • Certified Lean Competency 2B/3A or equivalent as a minimum
  • A minimum of 5 years CI experience of project leadership and successful on time delivery, across matrix, cross functional and/or multi territory global organisations
  • Strategic development and deployment understanding
  • Experience of training and coaching Lean ways of working
  • Strong ability to engage others in CI at all levels of the organisation
  • Experience of partnering Senior Management teams in deployment of Lean
  • Able to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels of the organisation, both verbally and in writing, in English and Spanish
  • Handson experience, able to diagnose, consult as well as drive improvements ,
  • Change Catalyst that positively challenges the status quo
  • Experience of change models and culture management
  • CI Champion act as a role model, truly 'walk the talk'
  • Proficient in Minitab, SharePoint and MS Office suite (incl BI/Apps etc)
  • High Energy; Self Starter; Resilient; Perseverance; Adaptable and Flexible

Desirable:


  • Experience of operating in a Shared Services/Business Process Outsourcing environment preferably a services background
  • Financially astute with a good understanding of a P&L statements
  • Customer engagement
  • Thought leadership, a soundboard for Seniors
  • Deliver value add solutions and insight
