Payroll & Finance Assistant, Tarleton (£26,000 - £28,000)
This role comes with a great salary, 24 days holiday plus the 8 BH, On-site parking


About The Client:


Our client supplies a variety of major supermarkets and processing customers through our purpose-built factories and distribution centre where we prepare award-winning whole produce and prepared produce.


Purpose:


Based within the Finance department you will be at the centre of operations, assisting the team with a payroll of 220 staff, supporting other payroll staff for potential holiday cover as well as supporting in the purchase, and sales ledger activities.

In addition, you will support the Finance Manager when required for the wider business.


Role and Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for processing all payroll with weekly timesheets, including information on starters, leavers, SSP, SMP, pensions, and yearend processes
  • Management & housekeeping of payroll and finance systems
  • Inputting invoices onto inhouse systems
  • Assisting with the processing of the purchase ledger, and sales ledger, and maintaining a purchase order system
  • Supporting with the month and yearend procedures
  • Support the delivery of the finance activities
  • Any other duties as required by the Finance Manager

Role Requirements:


  • 3+ Years of experience running payroll from start to finish
  • Experience in purchase and sales ledger would be advantageous
  • AAT qualification would be an advantage
  • Proficient IT competencies, including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
  • Capable of delivering reports using excel
  • Understanding of a safe working environment
  • Fluent in the English language, both verbal and written
  • Willingness to enhance individual knowledge in areas of development
