Payroll & Finance Assistant, Tarleton (£26,000 - £28,000)
This role comes with a great salary, 24 days holiday plus the 8 BH, On-site parking
About The Client:
Our client supplies a variety of major supermarkets and processing customers through our purpose-built factories and distribution centre where we prepare award-winning whole produce and prepared produce.
Purpose:
Based within the Finance department you will be at the centre of operations, assisting the team with a payroll of 220 staff, supporting other payroll staff for potential holiday cover as well as supporting in the purchase, and sales ledger activities.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for processing all payroll with weekly timesheets, including information on starters, leavers, SSP, SMP, pensions, and yearend processes
- Management & housekeeping of payroll and finance systems
- Inputting invoices onto inhouse systems
- Assisting with the processing of the purchase ledger, and sales ledger, and maintaining a purchase order system
- Supporting with the month and yearend procedures
- Support the delivery of the finance activities
- Any other duties as required by the Finance Manager
Role Requirements:
- 3+ Years of experience running payroll from start to finish
- Experience in purchase and sales ledger would be advantageous
- AAT qualification would be an advantage
- Proficient IT competencies, including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
- Capable of delivering reports using excel
- Understanding of a safe working environment
- Fluent in the English language, both verbal and written
- Willingness to enhance individual knowledge in areas of development
