About Us

The London Borough of Merton is seeking Licensing Officer for the Private Sector Housing team. You will be one of the first members of a completely new team that is being created within Housing.

We are looking for enthusiastic people with strong technical skills to join us and to work on a wide range of tasks.

Merton is situated at the end of Northern line and has excellent links with the surrounding area.

What are we looking for?


We are looking for a creative thinker who can work using their own initiative whilst being responsive to and supporting the work of the enforcement service.

You will be able to assess information against compliance criteria & communicate effectively with customers and professional organisations.

You will be able to review and resolve complaints and enquiries and utilise a range of sources for information to support the enforcement activities of the team.

You will contribute towards the on-going development and review of processes & procedures for private rented property licensing.
