This new role is about bringing the congress specialism together, a big part of this role will be aligning the congress teams under one service line and the restructure work that that will include.

Leading a team of Account Directors, coaching, mentoring and developing them in their roles will be imperative to the success of this role.

Through combining the expertise of several teams, the aim is to bolster the congress expertise and create an area of excellent through shared knowledge and resources.


There will be a need to Identify training and development needs, and this role will be responsible for ensuring effective deployment of training solutions in collaboration with the people team and the management group in the congress team.


The way we work with housing, associations, DMC's and all other congress stakeholders including our clients can be improved through this role, creating efficiencies for all client account teams.

With all-in-one service line we can harness our benchmarking capabilities and support the client engagement teams and Account Directors - events in driving growth.

There will be a need for 'ear to the ground in terms of congress for insights and future thinking.


This role will work across TCEG as the congress expert and may be required from time to time to pitch as the congress expert.

You'll need to be in attendance at all key congress as an AEE representative not associated with any client account and all AEE events.

There will be a need to ensure the project teams are working closely with event production where ancillary/pre con meetings require.


Key objectives:


  • Lead on and develop the bestinclass Congress specialism
  • Driving efficiencies across the specialism
  • Operational delivery in the specialism
  • Identifying training and development needs, responsible for ensuring effective deployment of training solutions
  • Future thinking for the specialism

Other desired skills:


  • At least 10 years congress experience
  • At least 5 years' experience of managing large teams
  • Ability to coach, mentor and grow Account Directors
  • Substantial proven experience in healthcare congresses
