Description
As a Community Project Officer at RJ4All, you will be a confident and ambitious individual with a passion for making a positive change in your community.
You will be responsible for managing and delivering local, national, and international projects within our charitable objectives, conducting research and fieldwork, monitoring project impact and finances, developing new ideas, and leading discussions and policy debates.
You will report to the Community Projects Coordinator, and line-manage interns and volunteers.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead community projects, including planning, promoting, and delivering youth activities, sports projects, and community events
- Conduct research, analyze findings, and report on project outcomes
- Manage budgets and expenses for allocated projects
- Stay uptodate with policy and legislative changes affecting RJ4All
- Collect and analyze project data for reporting and evaluation
- Develop Theory of Change for each project and monitor progress
- Line manage parttime interns for each project, supporting their training and skills development
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- 1 year of experience in research and fieldwork
- Experience leading/managing projects including project planning, delivery, and reporting
- Experience in using planning projects' budgets, monitoring spendings, and signing off project expenditures
- Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to contribute to decisionmaking and planning
- Excellent attention to detail, welldeveloped organizational skills, and ability to deliver on a deadline
- Ability to work independently and communicate proactively
- Commitment to the restorative justice values and RJ4All's overall mission
- Ability to remain professional and maintain clear boundaries when handling sensitive and confidential information
Desired:
- Master's degree in related field
- 1 year of experience working in a nonprofit, government or NGO environment
- 1 year of experience in Sports & Development
- Experience in linemanagement of volunteers and interns
- Ability to develop new ideas and lead discussions and policy debates resulting from their work
- Awareness of current safeguarding legislation for children and vulnerable adults
- Passion for sport and sports & development
