Transport Manager, Runcorn
Resolve Recruitment are proud to be working with one of the highly reputable distribution company based in Runcorn.

Due to continued expansion, our client now seek an experienced Transport Manager to run the smooth operation of their pm shift.


Overview:


  • To ensure the smooth running of your shift managing a team including 1 direct report and approx. 20+ drivers including pallet drivers and trampers.
  • To ensure the a safe and compliant running of the depot's transport operation achieving the highest standard of customer service.
  • Clearly communicate with all departments the delivery/service performance including failure reporting.
  • Scheduling equipment maintenance by booking jobs at appropriate service agents (or in house).
  • Ensuring all accidents and incidents are reported in compliance with company and HSE policies.
  • Ensure all drivers hours are monitored and controlled in accordance with EC driver's hours regulations.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and security of the vehicles.
  • Scheduling equipment maintenance by booking jobs at appropriate service agents (or in house).
  • Frequent involvement with planning

Must haves:


  • High level of supervisory/management experience
  • Advance planning knowledge/experience
  • Excellent legislation/health & safety experience

Must be a CPC holder:

  • Experience with planning
  • Experience in general haulage
  • Experience with fridges
  • Understands pallet networks
  • Good financial acumen
  • P&L knowledge

Package & Hours:


  • Working Monday to Friday 0600m to 1400pm
  • A starting salary of £3540,000 p/a
