We are looking to recruit a full-time Chief Medical Officer who shares our vision to shape and deliver a new approach to the provision of integrated health and social care.

The forthcoming retirement of our current postholder presents an exciting opportunity for a highly credible, values-driven, and ambitious leader to join us in a role which has influence across the full breadth and depth of our health and care system.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working with the wider Executive team, the responsibilities associated with this post are dynamic, varied, and wide-ranging, and will have a critical impact on the health outcomes of our diverse populations, which total 1.9 million people.

The Integrated Care Board (ICB) is the statutory organisation responsible for bringing multiple partners together within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (ICS), with the aim of improving outcomes in population health and healthcare; tackling inequalities in outcomes, experience, and access; enhancing productivity and value for money; and helping the NHS support broader social and economic development.

As our Chief Medical Officer, you will have an influential executive role and shared accountability for the co-development and delivery of the ICS's integrated long-term clinical strategy and, as a principal member of the unitary Board, you will also hold joint responsibility for the successful achievement of the ICB's wider strategic objectives and priorities.
