Your role:


Are you passionate about protecting the public and have a drive to be outstanding? Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service is looking for experienced Fire Safety Regulators to join our Protection Teams working across Greater Manchester to keep communities safe.


If you have a Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety (or be working towards this qualification) and have experience of complex enforcement and developing procedures and guidance to support service improvements, you can join us as a Senior Fire Safety Inspector.


About you:

You will be an experienced Fire Safety Regulator with a proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment.

You will be committed to supporting businesses to comply with legislation through advice and support including delivering presentations online and in person.

You should have demonstrable experience of undertaking audits and inspections and using the range of enforcement powers available and be adept at drafting enforcement notices.

You will have experience of working with partners to improve safety in the built environment.


You will be accustomed to responding to a range of consultations to promote safety at all stages of the lifecycle of a building.

You will have identified and delivered service improvements through developing guidance and procedures and/ or will have led on criminal investigations resulting in legal action being taken.
