The role:


This is an opportunity for a customer focused individual to join and lead the Student Services team in our fast-growing Liverpool school.

You will be experienced in working with international students and all the challenges that brings - their welfare, safeguarding,accommodation, social activities and all the associated services.


You will lead the Student Services team to ensure our students are safe, happy and have a life changing experience.

The
Student Services Manager has core responsibility for:


  • The safety and welfare of students attending Bayswater College
  • Line management of our Student Services and Accommodation teams
  • Ensuring excellent customer service is provided to our students consistently
  • Liaising with the Academic and Sales teams to give our students a time of their life experience
  • Following the agreed internal processes and procedures and resolving issues quickly and efficiently
  • Curating a vibrant, imaginative and fulfilling series of events for our students and partners including lectures, social events, company visits etc.
  • Conducting Credit control
  • Internal quality assurance in reference to the British Council accreditation scheme

Knowledge, qualifications and experience

  • An undergraduate degree and welfare qualification (desirable)
  • Experience of working with groups of international students taking part in education programmes
  • Experience of safeguarding of children and best practices
  • Experience of working to commercial targets
  • Experience of working in student services & admissions (desirable)

Skills and Attributes

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Competence in leadership and administration
  • Highly collaborative and able to work across teams to deliver results
  • Numerate and IT literate with competence in Excel
  • Highly organised and able to manage a varied and demanding workload
  • A keen eye for detail and a methodical and diligent approach to ensure quality and accurate results to any given task
