    Description

    At Peek-a-Boo Nursery, in West Edinburgh, we are looking for an experienced Room Leader to lead either our Toddlers or Pre-school room.

    As Head of Room you will be supporting a large team and will be kept very busy with our lively Toddlers or Pre-Schoolers.

    We offer a 38 hr working week, with salary up to £28,600 depending on experience, lots of great benefits, as well as opportunities for future career progression.

    There is also a starter bonus of £1000 paid £250 in month 1 and £250 in month 2 and £500 at end of probation

    As Head of Room you will:

    • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
    • Enhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development
    • Promote respect and credibility for this position by leading as a role model with impartiality and consistency
    • Assist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff.
    • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor always
    • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the Curriculum for Excellence are met
    • Qualified in Early Years with a minimum of 3 years working in a Nursery Setting and at least 1 years experience in a leadership role.

    Peek-a-boo Nursery school is based in the Barnton area of Edinburgh and is part of CC Nurseries. Our beautiful 84 place setting is in beautiful surroundings close to local forests and Cramond beach.

    Peek-a-Boo offers a home-from-home environment, led by our passionate and caring team, our nursery is filled with hand-picked resources (natural where possible) to encourage self-directed play and discovery.
