Our client was established in 1986 and has been one of the leading innovators in specialist water based decorativepaint systems during the last 30 years.

They manufacture all of their products in the UK at their own manufacturing facilities.

They specialise in Varnishes, Decorative Paints, Exterior Wood Coatings, Adhesives, Specialist brushes and Industrial coatings,all of which are produced at their factory.

They are currently looking for an Area Sales Consultant to cover the South West.


Although full training will be given and there will be ongoing support, you must be good with numbers, building relationships, great with planning, confident, self-motivated, have the ability to listen and sell consultatively, have high energy levels andoperate with the highest levels of integrity.

South West England - Focusing on the M5


Job role


As the area sales Manager, you will be selling a range of products Business-to-Business and face-to-face with the focus on winning new accounts and building existing business.


In this role, which will involve you working in the field, you will visit booked appointments that you have been self-generated to establish relationships and sales.

When you are not attending existing accounts you are tasked with developing new businessopportunities by calling suitable prospects.

Working to improve market position and achieve financial growth you will:

  • Build key customer relationships
  • Identify business opportunities
  • Maintain deep understanding of current market conditions
  • Prepare reports and statistical data for presentations and management reports
  • Remain up to date with industry changes and competitors
  • 60% of time maintaining existing accounts
  • 40% of time creating new business
  • Planning/logging visits
  • Completing Training on products
  • Merchandising
