My client is a well-established trade association is currently recruiting for a Marketing and Membership Executive


The Role of Marketing and Membership Executive.


The Marketing and Membership Executive supports the delivery of trade association's membership and partnership strategy, creating and delivering multi-channel communications to drive member engagement in the proposition: thought-leadership content, membercommunities, and online and physical events.


The role is permanent, full time, and will be hybrid, working from our new Covent Garden Headquarters and also from home.

The role-holder will report to the Head of Commercial Partnerships while working closely with the Membership team and colleagues acrossthe wider business.


Key Accountabilities
Contribute to the development of an integrated cross-channel marketing and communications plan to achieve delegate and income targets for events


Work with the Event Content Manager to help promote and deliver content that will drive attendance to our events and promote partnership activities.

Create compelling event and membership marketing copy tailored for different channels and audiences

Maintain the visibility of our event programme on the website and share/tag partner articles and content


Work with the Membership team to help increase member engagement, drive traffic to our website, promote membership and deliver partner objectives, helping to raise the profile of the work is doing.

Use website CMS (Umbraco) and e-marketing campaign systems (Click Dynamics) to execute event e-marketing campaigns

Work with our graphic designer to provide input and oversee the production of creative collateral and other branded materials

Work with the Event Executive to provide support for running virtual events on Livestorm and any reporting when required.

Work with our Corporate Affairs team to co-ordinate and feed in event marketing content to social media channels


Build a dashboard to track member engagement such as open rates on comms, digital articles and report on a weekly basis, use of google analytics would be an advantage.

Use CRM (Dynamics 365) to create, manage and maintain marketing and subscription lists to ensure effective reach and targeting

Segment, cleanse and upload delegate and marketing lists post-event, including data collated through the external webinar platform, Livestorm

Ensure marketing activities and use of data for marketing purposes comply with GDPR legislation and policies

Develop and provide internal reporting - tracking marketing activity and KPIs, continually testing activity and impact, using metrics to support ongoing improvement

Provide external reporting, including campaign plans, weekly status reports and post-campaign analysis to commercial partners


The Person


The role holder will have a commercial outlook, experience in a proactive B2B marketing environment, combining strong analytical skills with a commitment to drafting and delivering engaging communications.

Confident copywriter

Digital Native and data-driven, keen to understand what's working and what's not, and adapt your plans accordingly

Familiar with content-led marketing and social media, thus comfortable creating, curating, or commissioning the content you need to maximise the commercial opportunities of the BRC Partnerships & Membership product portfolio

Software proficiency that enables you to create impactful event branding or PowerPoint/Publisher collateral quickly and to a high standard

Relevant degree or CIM / post graduate qualification desirable

Effective time management skills/multi-tasking skills to manage several and diverse campaigns at once

Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously, whilst still contributing to a strong team environment.

A creative thinker and problem solver who takes a proactive and intelligent approach to their work

A good team player, who understands the dynamics of a small team and the importance of open communication and accountability

Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and thorough understanding of tagging and tracking

Fastidious attention to detail and an eye for design
