    We are Recruiting a Business Administrator

    Salary is from £22,670 - £23,882 per annum

    Full time,fixed term until 31 st March 2025 (with potential of extension)

    Based at 44 Peter Street, Manchester, M2 5GP

    We are excited to advertise a new post for our innovative employment and learning support service - The Greater Manchester Education, Training and Employment Service (GM ETE).

    Our delivery supports the Probation Service's service users into quality learning and employment opportunities. The Business Administrator will support the Service Manager, Team Leaders and Key Workers with all aspects of quality assurance, compliance monitoring and administration to contribute towards an efficient and quality service.

    We are seeking a proactive individual who is a good communicator and able to connect with others to achieve the best results. You must be able to take initiative and work at a fast pace. Recording accurate information and experience of using databases to support project delivery is a vital part of the job. You should have a strong eye for detail and be comfortable working with IT systems such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and a range of case management systems. We will provide all training needed to perform the job and support you to get established in the role.

    Essential job duties

    • To maintain an up to date understanding of the administrative requirements of the contract and to disseminate any information to our operational teams.
    • To update the ILR (individual learner record) and GMIT (Greater Manchester Individual Tracker) in a timely manner. Quality checking all records for accuracy.
    • To work alongside the team to enable provision of accurate QA/ Compliance support to Managers and Key Workers. This will include liaison with the commissioner and strong communication with all members of the team.
    • Processing a range of claim information including funding applications.
    • To provide support with monitoring performance by populating reports/excel spreadsheets using accurate information and meeting monthly deadlines for production.
    • To provide direct support to Directors/Managers on a range of matters including minute taking and financial reporting.
    • To provide support for the development of Quality Assurance processes both for the ETE contract and Achieve as a whole.
    • Direct liaison with suppliers and retention of records on staff and equipment.
    • To maintain staff records including in a sensitive and confidential manner.
    • Comply data protection and security policies, including maintaining records and data compliance.


    Your package

    Our full-time staff enjoy a 35h working week and we also offer flexitime – so if we ask you to do extra hours, we'll make sure you can take them back another time.

    The salary for this position is from £22,670 - £23,882 with reimbursement for any additional travel, plus various benefits, including great training, career progression, birthday leave, Perkbox , Green Cycle to Work scheme and lots more. Holidays start at 25 days + Bank Holidays, increasing with longer service.
