We are looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing and innovative Early Childhood Practitioner to join our small, welcoming team.


Our aim at Comrie Primary and Early Learning Centre (ELC), is to provide child-centred early learning and childcare (aged 3-5 years) which reflects and responds to individual needs and identity.


Ability to work in a team situation is essential and a flexible approach to working with young children and parents is required.


This is a permanent 10.8 hours per week contract, working on a Wednesday from 8.30am - 4.10pm and Friday from 8.30am pm, during term time.

There may be the possibility of additional hours on a fixed term contract to support play in Primary 1 next session.


The Individual:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing and caring individual to join our small, welcoming team.


You should have a genuine interest and commitment to working with children in a professional capacity within an early learning and childcare environment.

The role is child focused which requires compassion, patience and sensitivity. A welcoming approach is also needed to generate a feeling of trust and safety for children and their family/carers.

An interest in the development of children and their wellbeing is essential and knowledge of the emotion works programme would be desirable.

The important qualities are kindness, ability to work in a team, and to respect confidentiality at all times.


An interest in taking learning outdoors would be desirable in order to support and develop our regular trips to our local woodlands.
