The Bloomberg Core Applications and Insights business area is looking for a Product Manager to join its FICC & ECO (Fixed Income, Commodities, Currencies and Economics) Core Applications team with a focus on Fixed Income Content Creation & Management.

Bloomberg has market leading content and analytics across a broad range of market segments.

The FICC & Eco Applications team is responsible for ensuring these content areas and analytics reach users when and where they need it most, to ensure they get the mostfrom their use of the Bloomberg Terminal and Enterprise Products.

The team is specifically focused on improving terminal workflows for our end users, primarily around content discoverability. They also work directly with Enterprise Data and BQL to supportefforts that result in direct revenue.
Fixed income content is critical to client's decision-making processes across many different products and workflows within the Bloomberg ecosystem.

This product manager will be responsible for managing and expanding the fixed income data product and improvethe overall process by which FI content is accessed by internal and external users.

You will collaborate closely across global data, contributions, product, and engineering groups key to fixed income initiatives.

You should be seen across the organizationas providing and defining the strategy on topics related to the credit market and ensuring strategic alignment across key stakeholders including compliance, legal, enterprise product, enterprise data, and index.

We expect that you will energetically collaboratewith this stakeholder group to ensure the best result across Bloomberg for the fixed income product.

Your influential skills will be critical to success, as you will be expected to directly manage resources building out FI Data solutions, as well as influencingconsumers of this content across the company.


We'll trust you to:


  • Partner with product groups (ESG, New Issues, Corporate Actions, Entities, Ratings, Regulation, Index, BVAL, BI, DL, BQL) to gather FI content requirements
  • Practice product manager daily responsibilities including engagement with engineering team(s), regular scum rituals including standups, refining sessions, planning, retrospectives and demos
  • Lead the field development process by defining scope and priority for new fields
  • Collaboratively define acceptance criteria for engineering, global data, and contributions
  • Understand customer needs, commercial strategy, identify and prioritize emerging marketplace trends
  • Improve the management of FI content availability and discoverability
  • Understand the nature of the FI Data product area from a governance perspective; mitigates risk accordingly

You'll need to have:


  • Worked in financial markets with a focus on Fixed Income
  • A general market awareness and terminal user sense
  • Proven experience managing without direct reporting line authority
  • Proven experience working across business lines to execute on team and company goals
  • Technical background, including the ability to engage in detailed technical planning and decision making to facilitate efficient product development
  • 5+ years* of applicable experience
