The role & requirements:
You will work closely with Guild Esports, and report into the Director of Esports for all
the below requirements. Your immediate KPIs of the role will be to develop our
product(s) and offering(s), promote the brand and its awareness, recruitment, and
pipeline of learners, ensuring pedagogy of your approach to teaching and learning,
all whilst making sure that your industry knowledge remains consistent across the
digital and esports fields.
You will be responsible for providing first‐class esports classroom delivery at the Sky
Guild Gaming Centre, of the BTEC Esports L2/3 including Maths and English, both
onsite and remote based. This will include setting assignments, assessments, marking
and providing feedback. You will work with learners on a group and one‐to‐one
basis, delivering, developing knowledge, and understanding, to empower and
unleash learner potential. Our aspirations are for you to be able to support and
develop as many individuals as possible from all different backgrounds, using your
passion for esports and new digital pathways.
You will develop the programme delivery content and assessment of both
programmes, in association with our National Quality Manager and the Guild Esports
team, to ensure our products meet BTEC Pearson requirements. Programme
deliverables include schemes of work (SOW), lesson plans, delivery content,
assessment/ assignments, work experience opportunities and supporting the Guild
Elite Player Programme experience via the British Esports Federation.
You will support our internal quality assessment (IQA) of the programme(s), work
with external awarding bodies including our Pearson 's standards verifier, promote
the programme internally and externally throughout the academic year, attend
events/competitions/tournaments, develop a digital network of key stakeholders and
affiliates, integrate with Guild Esports staff whilst onsite and lead on prospective
learner recruitment including interviews and enrolment
Teaching/Learner Management
∙ Develop current teaching and learning content and ensure that it is relevant and
engaging
∙ Continue to develop content and resources to ensure we are up to date with digital
and esports news, trends, opportunities and that our resources are reflecting th ese
∙ Identify additional relevant digital and esports enrichment activities that would
benefit our learners
∙ Identify additional digital and esports courses that we could potentially develop to
broaden our off er(s)
∙ Identify and progress new digital and esports topic areas, courses and teaching
∙ Lead, inspire and support learners with different abilities (including those with SEND
requirements). Work with and support the Learning Support Mentor assisting classes
and individuals
∙ Mark work, giving appropriate feedback and maintain records of learners ' progress
and development
∙ Manage and monitor all learner evidence in line with company and awarding body
requirements
∙ Devise and oversee examinations, ensure regular contact with the National Quality
Manager and Quality Trainer (IV) to ensure quality standards are met
∙ Ensure all learners are progress through their qualification adhering to schemes of
work and awarding body/OFSTED requirements
∙ Maintain regular communication with Key Stakeholders on learner progress and
feedback in team meetings
∙ Carry out a pastoral role as a personal tutor to learners
∙ Identify and plan additional support for learners as necessar
∙ Act as a Company representative at parents' evenings, taster days, open days and
careers or digital and esports education conventions
∙ Establish work experience and carry out learner assessments in the workplace, as
appropriate
∙ Ensure Equality and Diversity is embedded and instilled both in and out of the
classroom
∙ Identify and raise any safeguarding issues to the relevant representative
∙ Promote and instil a safe learning environment
Quality
∙ Participate in regular teaching observations and in‐service training as part of
continuing professional development (CPD)
∙ Attend team meetings to monitor, review and evaluate relevant courses
∙ Understand fully the national standards for each qualification
Account Management
∙ Act as the Company 's representative at club/site trials and events
