**Building Surveyor - Social Housing Planned Works
Full-time, Permanent role


Salary:
£40-47,500k + car allowance


Covering Slough, Reading, Berkshire and surrounding areas.**We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Building Surveyor to join a leading contactor within the social housing sector.

This is a full time, permanent opportunity with a highly reputable employer, covering Slough, Reading, Berkshire and surroundingareas.


We are looking for someone with a wide range of specialist skills including property surveying, both internal and external and a good understanding of construction and building.

Health and safety is of paramount importance in this role and you will be expectedto demonstrate a good knowledge of Health and Safety and compliance at all times.

You will also require advanced knowledge of contract and housing law and will have previously worked in the Social Housing sector


Key duties include:

  • Inspection of building
  • Assisting the senior surveyors
  • Preparation of technical due diligence reports
  • Building pathology surveys
  • Monitoring construction work and the performance of project design teams
  • Producing reports to clients and engaging on face to face value
  • Experienced in dealing with Party Wall matters, Dilapidations, Defect diagnosis and Contract Administration
  • Must have good knowledge of current Building Regulations
  • Experience in a similar surveying role, ideally within a Social Housing or Local Authority Environment
  • Skills and knowledge of construction methods
  • Experience of managing contractors and consultants to deliver within budgets and timescales
  • A broad range of communication and influencing skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Strong organisation and prioritising ability
  • Demonstrate high levels of customer services and complaint handling skills
