Reed HR are currently looking for a HR and Compliance Assistant for our Mechanical Contractor client.

Do you have an awareness of Compliance and HR processes, along with a strong understanding and respect for confidentiality, to deal with matters surrounding eligibility to work in the UK and Europe?


Reporting to the HR and Compliance Manager, we are looking for an Individual who will assist in enhancing and contributing to the smooth running of our Compliance and HR Department.


Main Responsibilities

  • Gathering employee information and new starter documents.
  • Keeping track of employee document expiry dates (passports, site cards etc).
  • Produce checklists to ensure compliance is met in every jurisdiction.
  • Organise and maintain all compliance related records and files, in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assist in preparing for and responding to routine reviews/audits.
  • To provide Compliance and HR support to the business, through responding to queries.
  • Act as a liaison between HR employees,
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the HR and Compliance Manager for the Compliance and HR function.
  • Assist with daytoday operations of the HR functions and duties.
  • Process documentation for personnel activities.
  • Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc).
  • Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in Compliance and Human Resources
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Generalist HR experience, with working knowledge of theory and best practice
  • HR Policy Experience
  • Basic knowledge of Labour Laws
  • Experience of working in a team environment and be a team player
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong communications skills
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field would be desirable
