We are now recruiting for a
Care Trainer to deliver high quality training and assessment to the Private, Voluntary and Independent Adult Social Care Workforce of Hertfordshire (may include some design and development work).
We are looking for someone who has a passion and enthusiasm to raise the standard of quality of care, who holds, or will work towards, Training and Assessing qualificationswith experience working in the Care sector.
Hertfordshire Care Providers Association (HCPA) is a unique award-winning company set up to support adult care providers within Hertfordshire to raise quality standards of care.
We are a non-profit member's association.We support over 550 care organisationsto improve the quality of care they provide across a variety of projects such as staff training and providing information and guidance.
We also provide additional services and projects such as a fully funded Recruitment service, Impartial Feedback servicesand the Stop Falls Service.

- 37.5 hours a week (predominately 9am5pm Monday-Friday)

What does the role of Care Trainer involve?
- Act as a trainer/assessor (training provided if necessary), delivering knowledge and skills through approved learning programmes, accredited units/qualifications at differing levels, ensuring specifications are met, whilst maintaining learner records.
- Provide appropriate IAG to leaners/managers that relate to further training and education opportunities available to meet their business needs or progression.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Education Team in the development of learning programmes with passion and enthusiasm, maintaining high standards of quality, meeting internal and external expectations.
- Maintain Continued Professional Development (CPD) and contribute to Standardisation as and when required.
- Work with management to understand the needs of learners and create and implement development plans to address both short
- Design, prepare and deliver Care Education courses and qualifications to meet regulatory standards
- Support providers who require tailored solutions to training staff by delivering appropriate courses
- Ensure all training and assessment records are documented to expectations

- Experience of teaching/training within a health and social care setting
- Experience in working within Adult Social Care settings
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Must be fit and able. The role requires lowlevel physical activity demonstrating best practice techniques
- Own transport with business insurance is essential as travel around Hertfordshire is required
