The Role


Working directly with the Global Propositions Director, English to ensure joined up delivery of key strategic change programmes, as Head of Strategic Programmes, you will lead on delivering the Propositions transformation plan including adoption of Product Lifecycle Management, Change Management (OD and ways of working) and troubleshooting and problem solving wherever required.


This role is critical to the roll out of Product Lifecycle Management across the English business and wider support teams (technology, operations).

This will involve leading and inspiring multi-disciplinary teams in adopting new ways of working to support the digital transformation of the English business.

This will also include supporting the rollout of the new Organisational Design and associated change programme. Taking a leading role in other change initiatives as required and ensuring co-ordination across Propositions and the wider business.


Key accountabilities include:
Discipline leadership of the change management initiatives to embed the Propositions Strategy into English, effectively embedding the transformation into sustainable new ways of working:

  • Leading, directing and inspiring cross-functional teams in implementing the Propositions strategy for English.
  • Translating strategy / complex ideas into execution initiatives and programme managing against key deliverables including leading on change / communications / training initiatives ensuring the right people get the right information at the right time, within Propositions and, where relevant, the wider business across both English and at Group level.
  • Acting as an escalation point for issue resolution, providing steer and direction.
  • Overseeing Change, Internal Communications & Engagement and Organisational Design and joining up the dependencies across change programmes.

About you


You will be an individual contributor with the ability to think strategically and influence effectively, but also be very prepared and able to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.

The role of Head of Strategic Programmes will support the Global Propositions Director in ensuring delivery of these key programmes:

  • Delivery of the Global Propositions new organisational design
  • Implementation and embedding of new ways of working, primarily Product Lifecycle Management this stretches across multiple teams (Propositions, Marketing, Sales, Technology, Operations)
  • Leading on the Comms and Engagement programme across the Propositions Division to support development of a high performing team
