We are looking for a Technical Manager/Technical Director who is enthusiastic, curious and looking for that next challenge.

We have an amazing opportunity to help grow our Environment Planning and Sustainability Team with a key focus on EIA in the development sector.

What does the role involve?


Our team is involved in a wide range of environment and sustainability projects at all stages of the development cycle - from due diligence, through EIA and onto design.

We work with a range of clients across the public sector and private developers.

As a Technical Manager/Technical Director you will provide technical leadership, support business development to grow our EIA presence, and support to the team to deliver our projects.


To be successful in this role you'll possess:

  • A proven track record in the delivery of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislative and policy frameworks, available guidance and industry best practice relevant to the delivery of EIA
  • The ability to communicate in a fluent and positive manner with other team members and to produce reports in clear English.
  • Project management experience of delivering EIA / SEA
  • Client relationship management and workwinning experience
  • Understanding of the need to deal sensitively with client and company information, particularly where this is not in the public domain
  • Good problem solving/contingency planning skills with ability to find quick, innovative and practical solutions
  • Take responsibility for personal development and enable and support the learning of others
  • Effective negotiation and persuading skills, able to manage and diffuse challenging situations
  • Have full membership of an appropriate professional body e.g. IEMA, IES.
  • Have / or be working towards attaining chartered environmentalist / scientist status

Desirable

  • Experience and proficiency in using GIS packages would be beneficial
