Overview:
Permanent, full-time, hybrid #LI-Hybrid


To ensure that customer transaction alerts are reviewed effectively in line with firm's financial crime framework and programme, whilst ensuring high standards for operational efficiency and risk appetite are maintained.

To assist the firm in improving its overall transaction monitoring landscape across several businesses.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage a team of Transaction Monitoring Analysts; ensure timely handling of alerts.
  • Conduct quality check of investigations, providing coaching to Analysts where necessary.
  • Design and implement monitoring rules tailored to customers profiles, conducting SAR investigations and reporting.
  • Review escalated and complex alerts, conducting indepth investigations to resolve cases.
  • Contribute to the creation of TM policies and procedures and ensure implementation of improvements.
  • Help deliver transaction monitoring education, awareness and training to the team and wider business as required, ensuring that new trends are identified and communicated.
  • Ensure continuous calibration, gap analysis, risk assessment and testing reports to ensure effectiveness of Transaction Monitoring system ensure in line with industry standards.
  • Design, prepare weekly & monthly MI and KPI reports to senior management team and key stakeholders.
  • Play a key role in delivering transaction monitoring projects, collaborating with internal and external vendors to ensure successful rollout.
  • Proving training and assistance with recruitment if required. Review resource available to ensure team deliver targets and meet firm's SLA.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with key project personnel and across group entities.
  • Assistance with external and internal audit investigations and reports as required.
  • Other adhoc responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive expeirence in Transaction Monitoring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Law, or other appropriate discipline
  • Strong and efficient decision making skills with the ability to use judgement and operate autonomously when required
  • Effective planning, organisational and time management skills
  • Relationship building and strong communications skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to see the bigger picture and deal effectively with competing priorities
  • Ability to proactively identify and analyse problems and design effective solutions
  • Ability to lead and manage people and achieve results through others
  • Able to use good judgement and experience to articulate and document decision making rationale
  • Additional language skills would be an advantage in our global business environment
