Safety Fabrications Ltd are based in Hillsborough, we manufacture a range of safety products in both Mild Steel and Aluminium and are well established within the industry.

We are recruiting a Stores Person to support the manufacturing of a quality product to our customers.

You will be responsible for the day to day running of the stores department, ensuring stock levels are maintained to ensure that our workshop has the correct levels of stock to manufacture all orders.

You will have a positive outlook with a strong focus on doing the right thing for the customer, display energy and tenacity.

Role Responsibilities

Responsible for managing the day to day running of the stores department, completing the required paperwork, ordering of stock and putting stock away in the right location bays.
Assisting with the moving of components/loading and unloading of lorries. (By hand, forklift, hand pallet truck & overhead crane.)
Checking of material deliveries against purchase orders.
Effectively communicating any discrepancies identified during the receipt of goods to relevant departments.
To ensure that all stock items are of a quality standard and are in place to meet the production deadline.
To ensure each department in the Factory has the correct levels of stock required to manufacture all orders.
To ensure the stores department is clean and tidy and products are clearly marked and stored in the right location.
To ensure your work is completed in accordance with the required work schedules and be responsible for achieving the daily targets and achieve departmental KPI's.
To support Directors/managers to assist with resolving stock issues as and when required.

Person Attributes

Previous experience as a stores person will be advantageous;
Previous experience of working within a fabrication company will be advantageous;
Honest, trustworthy and reliable with excellent organisational skills;
Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external contacts.
Ability to receive and follow instructions accurately with a good attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills, a strong team player who can work on own initiative with a cando attitude with effective time management;
Good problemsolving skills with the ability to work under pressure;
A willingness to undertake further training with the ability to implement learning into your daily work.
Forklift license (FLT) will be advantageous.
