Hours: 8:30-16:00 full time (term time only) Immediate start (Pending clearance)
If you are soon to be completing your Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification at College or coming to the end of your PGCE this is an excellent opportunity to secure a new role for the next academic year/next term.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 121 or small group support for students, some of these students may be diagnosed with special educational needs.
- Assist the classroom teacher in implementing individual education plans and behaviour management strategies.
- Support students with their learning activities, including literacy, numeracy, and social skill development
- Encourage student engagement and participation in classroom activities.
- Assist in the preparation and adaptation of learning resources to meet the needs of individual students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and valued.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
- Understanding of SEN and the ability to support students with a range of learning needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are desirable but not essential.
