We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants of any level in Northumberland to support pupils in Primary Schools.

If you are soon to be completing your Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification at College or coming to the end of your PGCE this is an excellent opportunity to secure a new role for the next academic year/next term.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 121 or small group support for students, some of these students may be diagnosed with special educational needs.
Assist the classroom teacher in implementing individual education plans and behaviour management strategies.
Support students with their learning activities, including literacy, numeracy, and social skill development
Encourage student engagement and participation in classroom activities.
Assist in the preparation and adaptation of learning resources to meet the needs of individual students.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and valued.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
Understanding of SEN and the ability to support students with a range of learning needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are desirable but not essential.
