_Abbeyfield Burnham and Highbridge Society are looking for a cook to join the team. You will need to be organized, enjoy cooking, baking and engaging with the older person._

The setup and ethos of Abbeyfield is to alleviate loneliness, so we achieve this by providing accommodation, 2 meals a day and a friendly chat._

The house itself comprises of 8 flats, a communal lounge, dining room and garden. Residents are free to come and go as they please, which enables them to keep their independence as much as possible and not having the added pressure of preparing and cooking meals for themselves._
Key Duties
- 1. Prepare and cook homemade meals following a rotating menu, whilst ensuring dietary and current allergen legislation is adhered to.
- 2. Prepare and bake fresh cakes and desserts.
- 3. Complete kitchen record daily to comply with current legislation.
- 4. Be confident in lone working and communicate well with co workers and residents alike.
- 5. In the absence of house staff be able to see the smooth running of the house.
2 week rota with alternate weekend_
