Lead Operator F2:


Reporting to the Shift Supervisor you will help lead and motivate a production team to ensure that production areas are run in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Monitor the production quality and productivity on an ongoing basis whilst also implementing improvement ideas


Job responsibilities:


  • Organise, control, motivate team members including conducting shift briefings when required.
  • Daily production planning.
  • Ensure quality and productivity levels are met.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement within the area of responsibility.
  • Allocation of labour at the start of the shift and organising/implementing break relief.
  • Monitor waste.
  • Practice and promote 5S within the designated area promote standardisation
  • Monitor attendance levels and overtime
  • Ensure shop floor discipline is maintained
  • Liaise with supporting departments when necessary.
  • Stock control.
  • Understand and ensure adherence to company/section policies and procedures
  • Practice good health and safety procedures
  • To carry out any other relevant duties as required by the business.

Key skills:


Essential:


  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment and knowledge of manufacturing working procedures.
  • Numeracy and literacy skills
  • Computer literate
  • Willing, capable and enthusiastic in controlling, motivating and leading a team
  • Good communication, interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
