Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location:
Stamford Bridge, York

Salary:
£36,000 - £46,000 per annum

Hours: 42.5 hour working week (8am - 5pm Mon to Fri)

Machinery

Gantry saws
KUKA Robot
CNC cutting machines
Waterjet cutting
Cranes & vacuum lifting equipment
Water pumps and filtration system
Hand powertools
Conveyor machinery
Dust extraction

Job Tasks

Participate in engineeringfocused activities in support of manufacturing plant and equipment performance KPI's
Contribute to improvement projects & new machinery installations
Support site technical issue resolution and completion of improvement actions through good engineering practices and guidance
Identify and share best practices and contribute to raising awareness, improving performance and transitioning to a proactive engineering culture
Carrying out preventative maintenance, working to schedule
Completion of reactive maintenance work when machinery breaks down to ensure the impact to line efficiencies is minimised
Ensure high, thorough and efficient standards of engineering workmanship across the site
Contribute to the development of existing and new standards for key items of equipment and facilities
Lead high standards of Health and Safety practices across the business, at all times
Sourcing and ordering parts
Logging time & parts to machinery for reporting purposes

Skills

An extensive background in a fastpaced production environment in both mechanical and electrical machinery
Good team working and leadership skills
Experience working with the following; Pumps, Gearboxes, Motors, Invertors, Sensors, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Cranes & lifting equipment, PLC (Siemens)
