Junior Software Developer

Responsibilities

  • Creation of web interfaces for relational database systems
  • The ability to produce industrial strength high quality, clean code with a focus on following standards
  • Supporting existing clientele with frontend fixes and upgrades
  • Communicating the technical approach to mixed audiences, including clients
  • Engaging in outsidethebox thinking to provide a high value to clients
  • Server configuration for the launch of completed websites
  • An ability to multitask is essential
  • Experience, Qualifications and Skills Required
  • Object Oriented PHP
  • HTML
  • MySQL / Postgres / MongoDb
  • Apache / Nginx
  • Version control using Git
  • Experience with VSCode
  • Advantageous Skills
  • Experience with REST and JSON APIs
  • Experience with Postman
  • Comfortable using a terminal
  • Linux (Centos / equivalent RHEL flavours)
**Front End

Responsibilities

  • The ability to produce high and review high quality, clean code
  • A focus on standards and accessibility e.g. W3C
  • Supporting existing clients with frontend fixes and upgrade
  • Communicating technical approach to mixed audiences, including clients
  • Understanding / experience with using frontend frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind
  • Responsive and adaptive development experience
  • Understanding of userfirst philosophy
  • Progress updates
  • Engage in outsidethebox thinking to provide high valueofservice to clients.

Experience, Qualifications and Skills Required

  • HTML
  • Symphony based templating such as TWIG/Blade
  • SASS
  • JavaScript
  • JQuery
  • PHP Templating (Drupal 7)
  • Knowledge of CMS such as Drupal, WordPress, Statamic
