Job description:


The Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be based within the main packaging facility of our client, and will be required to work , Monday - Thursday, with an early finish on Fridays.


Our client is a renowned local packaging & printing company, they are one of the UK's largest independent corrugated packaging manufacturers based in Hull.


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical components of industrial equipment.
  • Maintain & understand a range of machinery, in order to produce high quality work, within high efficiency standards.
  • Work effectively alone and alongside other members of staff to accomplish organisational goals.
  • Analyse problems and identify causeeffect relationships.
  • Communicate and express ideas effectively in individual and group situations.
  • Participate in all mandatory training or meetings if required.
  • Adhere to all Company Policies, including but not limited to Quality, Health & Safety etc.
  • Ensure that good housekeeping principles are maintained.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or as defined by position responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment. Awareness of national electrical codes and regulations.
  • Some experience working with industrial packaging machinery or working within a packaging facility environment would be beneficial though is not essential.
  • An effective Maintenance Engineer must be mechanically minded and will, preferably, have a background in the manufacturing industry and have technical and or professional qualification in Maintenance engineering.
  • NVQ/City and Guilds Level 3 in electrical or mechanical engineering or both
  • 18th Edition is preferred
  • Knowledge and Fault finding of PLC's
  • Electrical installation experience in SWA
  • Carrying out PPM's
  • Knowledge of Electrical Systems and Ability to read electrical drawings
