TWT are members of several pallet networks and operate night trunks on weekday nights to a number of different hubs in the Midlands.
Class 1 Days:
£31,395.00 per annum
Class 1 Tramper:
£34,125.00 per annum (Nights out required, paid at £30.00 per night)
Class 2 Multidrop days:
£28,665.00 per annum
Working hours:
Your normal basic hours of work are 48 hours per week, with varying start and finish times. Flexibility on overtime is expected, however, all working hours will comply with the EU Drivers Hours Rules and Road Transport (Working Time) regulations 2005 and Working Time Regulations
Vehicle Safety Checks
- Ensure road worthiness of vehicle before leaving depot by carrying out a safety check, taking appropriate action where necessary.
- Check vehicle has been loaded correctly and safely.
- Complete Daily Defect Report and hand in to Transport Department at the end of each day
Delivering
- Deliver goods to correct addresses.
- Drive safely and within current legislative rules.
- Represent the company in a professional manner and always be courteous to consignees and general members of the public.
Communication
- Clearly communicate any issues to the relevant department.
- Be courteous at all times when dealing with customers.
Administration and paperwork
- Correctly fill in all delivery notes in a manner that is legible.
- Complete a Driver Debrief sheet each day.
- Ensure that tacho is correctly filled out in line with legislation.
Security
- Be responsible for the vehicle load out on the road.
- Ensure ALL security devices i.e., locks, padlocks and alarms etc are in place and working and used where necessary to ensure the safety of the vehicle and load.
The person
- A valid and clean HGV licence and up to date CPC and digital tacho card.
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of customer service
- Reliability is essential.
- Flexibility on start and finish times and flexibility for "nights out"
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good knowledge of UK roads is preferred but not essential.
