Description

We are looking for someone with a degree in physics, physical chemistry, materials science, or electrical engineering to join our product teams and provide technical support to our customers.

As someone who enjoys learning, teaching, and building relationships with academics and researchers, you will become an asset to the global scientific community and an important part of our mission to enable science.

The Role
The role will involve the following core responsibilities around customer support across all products that you are qualified / trained to talk about:

Liaising with R&D team to provide answers to specialist questions.
Passing relevant customer feedback to the R&D/content teams.
Providing occasional video or inperson demonstrations.
Reading, following and improving our written guides and manuals, and working with the R&D team to help produce support documentation for new products.
Assisting the content generation team to generate new multimedia content.

While laboratory work will not be a significant part of the daily routine, it will be an important part of both training and providing follow-up support and demonstrations.

As such, we are looking for someone who enjoys practical and laboratory work and has a passion for written communication.

About You

We are looking for someone who is interested in using their scientific knowledge and enthusiasm for communication within a fast-moving business environment to help a high-growth company expand even faster.

A degree in physics, physical chemistry, materials science, or electrical engineering (or significant equivalent knowledge).
Experience with either teaching or customer support.
Strong scientific communications skills with a polite and accessible communication style.
Be able to efficiently learn new scientific topics fast and efficiently.
Be practical and able to pick up new laboratory techniques easily.
Excellent English and IT skills and the ability to create highquality digital content.
