    Job Description:

    My client is a leading manufacturing organisation with an impressive history and a fantastic reputation across a multitude of industries that they serve. Due to a range of innovative developments and investment, they are going through an extensive period of growth. This includes new production capabilities within the site. They are now looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their site in West Lothian. The successful candidate will be tasked with supporting the engineering team in reaching a higher level of standard. The site is commutable from the majority of the central belt including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and Fife.

    To be considered for this position, you must be open to working a continental shift pattern (4on 4 off, days and nights).

    Responsibilities:

    1. The successful electrical maintenance engineer will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on equipment as defined by the PPM schedule to the highest standard
    2. Work as part of the electrical team, to keep plant availability in line with operational commitments
    3. Assist with machine improvement projects
    4. Monitor, fault find, maintain, and repair a wide variety of equipment
    5. Apply first level maintenance activities to all onsite assets
    6. Large plant complex repairs
    7. Development of new skills both in and outside of your core discipline
    8. Work with other disciplines in a workshop team
    9. Follow the business and departmental rules associated with workflow and management
    10. An awareness of health and safety and works in a manner that keeps you and those around you safe
    11. Use our computerized maintenance management system to organize workload and work order response

    Education & Experience:

    All applicants should hold City & Guilds or similar vocational qualifications and have completed an apprenticeship or recognized training in electrical discipline. Relevant experience in a production / processing or manufacturing facility would be beneficial. Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to take and respond to direction as required.
