THE ROLE:


Nestled in a sheltered bay at the southern end of the loch's western shore, our Marina's stunning location is dominated by the skyline of Ben Lomond.

Its impressive facilities are unrivalled by any marina resort in the UK and is the base for our Activities team who provide guests a host of exhilarating outdoor pursuits such as paddle boarding, kayaking, katakanuing, fishing, Segway safaris, bike hire and walks and hikes.


Reporting to the Activities Manager and supporting our Activities Instructors you will be part of a fun, highly driven team who work together to provide unrivalled outdoor experiences for our members and guests.


The key responsibilities of the position of Activities Assistant:

  • Assisting with safe outdoor activities such boat trips, wakeboarding, water skiing, jet ski tours, paddle boarding, katakanuing, cycling and Segway safaris
  • Equipment hire
  • Safety boat operations
  • Safe running of the hire area, changing facilities and office space
  • Sales and promotion of activity experiences
  • Reporting maintenance issues
  • Billing, and payments
  • Complete Daily banking and cash up procedures
  • General upkeep, cleaning and presentation of Activities areas and equipment
  • Checking satisfaction and handling additional requests and member and guest feedback
  • Capturing guest preferences and special requests
  • Requisitions and secure handling of stock
  • General assistance to the Marina team

TO BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY YOU WILL ALSO NEED:

  • National 5 Qualifications in English and Maths or SVQ Level 2 in Hospitality/Tourism /Activity Leadership or equivalent qualifications
  • Any of the following qualifications would be an advantage: RYA Powerboat Level 2 Certificate/PWC Certificate/RYA VHF Operators Licence/RYA First Aider Course/RYA PB2 (Commercial endorsement)/UKCC Level 2 Water Ski and Wakeboard/Ski Boat Driver Level 2/Water safety and rescue certificates or equivalent qualifications
  • Strong communication skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Basic IT skills and ability to use hand held technology
