MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT:

Maintenance Assistant to join our team.

THE ROLE - LODGE MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT:

Reporting to the Property Manager as a Maintenance Assistant you will be part of a small maintenance team working closely with all areas.

Your primary focus will be on the continued maintenance and upkeep of our Lodges, and buildings throughout the resort.

This is an extremely varied role and you will be expected to be able to assist with many basic tasks from plumbing, joinery and painting to changing bulbs and dealing with guest maintenance issues.


Key duties of the position will be:
Routine preventative maintenance and corrective repairs involving
Painting
Basic joinery
Basic tiling
Silicone sealing of bathroom fixtures
Basic plumbing including unblocking drains and toilets
Replacing lamps
Working at height
Resetting and starting of plant and equipment
Fire alarm testing
Minor electrical checks and repairs
Cleaning of plant, equipment and work areas including plant rooms
Compliance checks and records
Orders and requisitions
Supervision of contractors whilst on site.

TO BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY YOU WILL ALSO NEED:

  • Maintenance experience in a similar role essential, ideally in a hotel or leisure setting
  • UK driving licence
  • Trade qualification an advantage
  • Basic IT skills required, and must be competent using technology as smart phone/tablet will be part of your equipment
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively to deadlines
  • First Aider Qualification would also be an advantage
