A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our friendly Learning and Development Team. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Learning Management System Specialist to manage our Learning Management System (LMS).

The LMS is vital to the maintenance of training management, availability and records, and the LMS Manager will play a central role in the maintenance and delivery of training provision.


The LMS Specialist will provide support to the workforce as an expert user of the LMS and working with other Trust managers will ensure that the system remains responsive to organisational needs.


PROBATIONARY PERIOD


During the probationary period, your suitability for continued employment will be assessed and provided a satisfactory standard is achieved and maintained, your employment will be confirmed.

The probationary period may be extended or your employment terminated either during or at the end of probation, in line with the trust Probationary Policy.

For the duration of the probation period, the notice period will be in line with contractual obligations on either side.


Working across the organisation to manage, train, facilitate and support the ongoing development of the online Learning Management System (LMS).


This postholder will act as expert user of LMS and have responsibility for managing and monitoring LMS system activities including data reporting, data completeness, data integrity, quality and configuration and maintenance.


The role involves achieving sustainable service improvement and organisational change in relation to the provision of an efficient and effective service for staff accessing learning internally and outside the organisation.


Work closely with senior managers, clinical and non-clinical staff within the Trust and external bodies as required, providing advice, guidance and support to ensure that they are able to enable them to fulfil their learning needs and mandatory training compliance.

Work closely with the Learning and Development Manager to promote the use of technology to deliver learning

Your work will directly impact how care is delivered and how staff are developed and valued at Moorfields. You'll work in an environment that is
research and technology driven where learning and education underpins excellent clinical care. You'll be working with a team of dedicated
professionals to develop and deliver outstanding learning and development solutions to the 2000 plus staff across our networked sites.

You have the chance to help create, shape and develop an effective, responsive L&D department including people, tools, metrics and infrastructure.

You'll have significant experience in managing LMS systems with a demonstrable track record and proven success in troubleshooting data, analysing and reporting on training activities.

You'll have experience of stakeholder management and working credibly with senior
leaders. You'll have at least a degree and preferably additional qualifications in a relevant area.

  • Responsible for service provision and key functionality of the LMS.
  • Manage and maximise the functionality of our LMS Kallidus 'Learn' and be the system expert.
  • Create 'how to' digital user guides and videos to support the user experience of staff across the Trust.
  • Produce SoPs for key LMS activities to enable crosscover within the L&D team.
  • Provide reports to support the Associate/Deputy Directors of Workforce and OD in reporting back to executive committees against training compliance and the corporate risk register.
  • Develop system administration and user / role specific system policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for working with managers, clinical and nonclinical staff within the trust to ensure that all staff understand how the LMS can facilitate effective access to and/or delivery of learning as well as support compliance monitoring.
  • Lead key stakeholders in the testing and implementation of new software releases, updates and fault fixes for the LMS.
  • Work closely with the MAST lead on a daytoday basis and support the elearning developer with the uploading of locally and nationally created eLearning content.
  • Promote and actively communicate Learning and Development opportunities available to include the updating of the Learning and Development LMS System to ensure courses that are displayed are current and up to date.
  • Ensure data accuracy by putting in place robust data quality assurance processes.
  • Be able to develop technical solutions to stakeholder requirements.
  • Responsible for responding to daytoday technical issues relating to LMS via our workforce and OD helpdesk tickets within the agreed SLA.
  • Create data reports from the LMS and provide training to relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage priorities to deliver a high quality and timely service which meets customer needs
  • Identify learning opportunities which could be best delivered via an online LMS for Mandatory, role specific essential training and other training.
