Salary:
Base salary: £25,250 pa to c.£31,600 pa depending on skills and experience.

As a
Data and Systems Administrator at HS2 you will support the Land and Property team to access and use systems appropriately and maintain the integrity of Land and Property data by ensuring that it is uploaded, transferred and quality assured within set protocols.


About the role:


  • Proactively monitor system data, identify data discrepancies, and provide guidance to users.
  • Champion consistent, standardised data within and between L&P systems
  • Analyse inconsistency and duplication of data across different L&P systems and suggest opportunities to rationalise and streamline.
  • Act upon requests from Land and Property users to update system data to support user and Senior Management Team needs.
  • Act as a first point of contact for queries to ensure the team responds quickly to requests from system users (both HS2 and HS2's suppliers)
  • Manage shared inboxes, resolving user queries, allocating actions and monitoring progress.
  • Produce system reports and produce presentations to support analysis of performance.
  • Develop control reporting in order to identify incomplete or inconsistent data.
  • Identify areas of system and process improvement
  • Support Governance, Reporting and Finance roles within the team in preparing information packs.
  • Educate users in making consistent data updates in line with defined accountabilities, pragmatically balancing the need to resolve data issues immediate against educating users on how to perform the updates themselves.
  • Identify system issues and support raising these to HS2's support providers through defined channels, escalating appropriately where required.
  • Help to build user understanding of core processes and accountabilities for updating specific parts of system.
  • Support systems delivery and business change as required.

About You:


Skills:


  • Ability to triage and resolve user queries.
  • Ability to educate users in system usage and best practise.
  • Communication skills, to engage effectively with technical employees, suppliers, and senior stakeholders to define the best approach for handling data.
Knowledge

  • Understanding of general governance/approval processes
Experience

  • Experience of providing a system support service to colleagues (NB IT technical support will be referred to IT service desk)
  • Experience of undertaking data quality checks and assurance activities
