A 12-month fixed term vacancy has arisen within the Equine Pillar for a Customer Service Advisor/Administrator, forming part of the Customer Service & Administration Team.

This role provides first and second line customer support and administrative services to the Racing & Breeding industries.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Production & maintenance of racing and breeding records
  • Administration for racehorse owners (owner registrations, sponsorship, VAT, Accounts, horse naming)
  • Administration on behalf of industry third parties (Racecourse Association (RCA) Passcard, Racehorse Owners Association (ROA) and National Trainers Federation (NTF))
  • Administration for General Stud Book (registration of foals, broodmares, stallions, import/export)
  • Liaison with industry stakeholders
  • First & Second line query resolution
  • Completion of administration tasks in line with agreed SLAs
  • Advise on topics across the Equine Pillar including but not limited to race entries, ownerships, BHA accounts.
  • Assisting with any other function of Equine Services when required

Skill Requirements:


  • Professional and polite telephone manner
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • The ability to prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines are met
  • First class administrative skills, and an excellent customer service ethic
  • Able to keep pace with updates to processes and procedures
  • Ensuring the services provided to all customers are executed correctly and accurately
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • The role will suit an individual who is a quick learner who is accurate and organised
  • A flexibility of approach will also be critical in a fastchanging environment
  • An understanding and interest in the racing & breeding industries would be beneficial but is not essential

Essential Requirements:


  • The role will be 35 hours per week, 09:0017:00, with a variable working pattern covering 5 days per week, including some weekends.
  • Applicants will initially be required to work from Head Office in Wellingborough, having successfully passed the probation period a hybrid working pattern can be reviewed.
