Job Overview

You will be accountable for creating, executing, and managing key elements of our early talent strategy.

Who you will work with


You will report to the Early Talent Acquisition Manager, and you will work alongside the wider early talent acquisition team.


You will manage key relationships across external suppliers and networks, and you will work closely with our internal teams such as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and our Newcastle office.

What you will be responsible for


You will have distinct accountability for managing and delivering on key elements of our early talent strategy, notably our schools and social mobility strategies.

What you will do


Strategy:

You will develop our early talent schools offering and be responsible for crafting our proposition as employer of choice for 16-18-year-olds wishing to pursue a career in commercial law.


You will manage or assist with university projects and relationships, including the Shoulder-to-Shoulder campaign led by TENDER, and as directed by the Early Talent Acquisition Manager.


Relationships:
You will manage the relationships with our key strategic partners ensuring delivery of the SLAs. You will manage the annual impact reviews and negotiate contracts.


You will strengthen our relationship with key partner schools and will work closely with the CSR team to develop synergies with our current outreach programmes.

You will work closely with Clifford Chance colleagues in Newcastle to develop our paralegal apprenticeship programme as required.


You will manage the entire campus relationships for key strategic universities, delivering high quality hires and monitoring activities to ensure return on investment from events.


As a core pillar of our social mobility strategy, you will manage supplier relationships including Young Professionals, SMF and SMBP.


Operational:
You will attend key events throughout the year, in addition to those at your key strategic universities.

You will escalate issues as appropriate.


You will monitor and report on financial expenditure relating to own projects and ensure that the spend remains in budget and is in line with relevant policies.


You will produce and manage all early talent schools related statistical analysis (with the assistance of third parties) and disseminate to key stakeholders.

You will regularly report on progress of projects to the Early Talent Acquisition Manager.

Skills:

You will have strong planning and organisational skills and you will be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail.

You will be able to demonstrate the business impact of recruitment via measures and metrics.


You will have flexible and effective communication skills with proven experience of building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You will be able to demonstrate self-drive and initiative.

You will have strong technical skills, specifically in Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience


You will have solid experience in early talent recruitment gained within a large corporate environment (or equivalent) and will have been involved in the full life cycle of early talent, including event planning and administration.


You will have experience of project management, with the ability to gain buy-in from stakeholders, manage expectations and communicate progress effectively.

You will be experienced in providing solutions to often complex issues.
