Join us as a Team Leader in Private Banking

  • By leading the development and management of the private banking business, you'll be supporting the mission and vision of the bank
  • You'll promote a culture of continuous improvement and implement changes with exceptional leadership skills
  • Joining our dynamic Private Banking function, you'll be providing vital support to our advisers through your team with regulated and nonregulated lending cases

What you'll do:


As a Team Leader, you'll assist senior managers with the strategy, business and revenue planning and forecasting for your team.

Managing your team lending book, you'll ensure that controls are in place and that reviews are conducted in a regular and timely fashion.

We'll also look to you to provide exceptional customer service by training your team to operate at peak performance and take responsibility for client complaint handling, acting as an escalation point as required


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing team performance by setting, monitoring and providing feedback on group and individual objectives
  • Organising your colleagues to meet workloads by analysing and anticipating trends
  • Working closely across the management population to improve processes and procedures ensuring excellent client delivery at all times
  • Making sure that best practice is shared among your team and across the bank
  • Delivering against the financial plan and set objectives

The skills you'll need:


We're looking for someone with experience in working in private banking who holds credit experience, alongside a strong understanding of financial products and services.

Crucially, you'll need outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills, along with the ability to drive teams to deliver high levels of success and customer service.


You'll need to have extensive experience in leading and coaching high performing teams, with the ability to build an environment of strong teamwork and collaboration.

You'll be able to empower and encourage others to succeed in their roles, while always maintaining high standards of conduct and compliance.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must, as you'll need to develop strong working relationships inside and outside the bank.


Additionally, you'll have:

  • A high level of relationship, management and business development skills
  • Appropriate technical knowledge relating to lending products, policy and appetiteThe ability to effectively manage your time, accurately prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Good computer literacy, with a focus on Microsoft Office and experience of using Avaloq
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines, maximise resources, prioritise activities and balance conflicting demands
