We are recruiting for a superb international FMCG brand, who are experiencing continued strategic growth and development globally, for a Category Manager to join their busy Leeds office.

Key responsibilities of the Category Manager:

  • Working externally with the customer and internally with brand and sales teams and the UK Insight Manager to identify category development opportunities, utilising consumer and shopper insights.
  • Contribute to the annual planning process of specified subbrand, including market potential, brand plans and account plans.
  • Establish and maintain positive category relationships with the specified customer, encouraging joint category initiatives and planning
  • Translate consumer insights to better understand shopper decision making, conducting detailed reporting and forecasting, delivering best in class insights to the customer

Skills and experience required for the Category Manager:

  • Proven experience as a Category Manager or similar insights role, ideally from an FMCG industry background.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, able to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Excellent IT skills including MS Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience in the food industry is desirable but not essential.
