We are recruiting for a superb international FMCG brand, who are experiencing continued strategic growth and development globally, for a Category Manager to join their busy Leeds office.

Key responsibilities of the Category Manager:

Working externally with the customer and internally with brand and sales teams and the UK Insight Manager to identify category development opportunities, utilising consumer and shopper insights.
Contribute to the annual planning process of specified subbrand, including market potential, brand plans and account plans.
Establish and maintain positive category relationships with the specified customer, encouraging joint category initiatives and planning
Translate consumer insights to better understand shopper decision making, conducting detailed reporting and forecasting, delivering best in class insights to the customer

Skills and experience required for the Category Manager:

Proven experience as a Category Manager or similar insights role, ideally from an FMCG industry background.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, able to build and maintain customer relationships.
Excellent IT skills including MS Excel.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Experience in the food industry is desirable but not essential.
