Description

The Chief Operating Office within Digital Data and Technology Services (DDTS) function is recruiting a Senior Planning and Performance Advisor reporting to the Business Planning & Performance Lead in the Business Planning & Performance Team.


You will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the data contained within the Whole Life Cost database and responding to queries and requests from Defra Partners and providing the evidence that backs up any recharges.

Responsibilities

  • Accurate whole life cost data for DDTS and Defra Partners. This must be maintained within the Whole Life Cost Database (currently MS Access but moving to Power Apps and Power BI), in line with whole life cost process. This data will form the basis of the various reports needed to forecast budget liabilities for DDTS and Defra Partners and secure appropriate recharges.
  • Accurate reports produced to quality standards within agreed timescales.
  • Maintaining clear, accurate accessible records in line with current processes.
  • Updating whole life cost processes, tools, records, and documents in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Updating a portfolio of education, communication and engagement tools kept up to date and to meet the needs of various audiences.
  • Accurate, current and relevant documents uploaded to WLC SharePoint within agreed remit and timelines.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience of working with MS Excel.
  • Experience of working with MS Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint On-Line. Experience of working with MS Access.
  • Experience in handling large volumes of data and of collecting, recording, processing, managing, analysing, interpreting and sharing data appropriately for a variety of purposes.
  • Experience of engaging and communicating with others on complex matters using both written and verbal methods. Experience of using MS Word, PowerPoint and presenting to groups using MS Teams.
  • Demonstrable experience of being selfmotivated but also having a flexible approach to work content when work priorities and demands are constantly changing.
  • Experience in writing, continuously improving and documenting processes.

£37,295.00-£44,724.00 per year
