Background
This role is based in the Birmingham Global team within External Relations.

Birmingham Global drives forward the delivery of our global strategic priorities, including managing engagement with our strategic regions, university partnerships and alliances, and many key external stakeholders.

We engage communities and strengthen the University's international reputation, both in the UK and overseas through high profile events, campaigns and delegations.

We do all this working collaboratively with colleagues in Colleges and across the professional services.


Role Summary


As a senior administrator you will provide collaborative, cross-team support to a broad range of processes and strategic engagements operating through Birmingham Global, including working with colleagues across the University and international partner universities to produce agreements, maintaining processes and supporting financial reporting.


Main Duties

  • Under guidance, to develop and complete memoranda of understanding and agreements with international partner organisations, including undertaking due diligence, ensuring compliance to quality assurance processes, drafting documents and arranging for signature.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of information about international collaborations stored within University systems.
  • Monitor and map as appropriate various processes relating to international engagement.
  • Maintain high profile working relationships with key stakeholders on your own initiative, fielding enquiries and ensuring that appropriate information is disseminated to stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Organising events, including official signing events, as required, which may be in person, virtual or hybrid events.
  • Managing designated smaller projects on own initiative, and carry out desk research and source data from internal and external sources to contribute to wider projects.
  • Using a variety of complex University systems and processes to research, analyst and interpret complex data, producing bespoke reports as required. This may include identifying and resolving issues with the data.
  • Support continuous improvement through the management, development and implementation of operational processes and systems.
  • Process more complex data (which may be financial, HR, studentrelated or other), monitoring accuracy, chasing up missing information, and resolving any issues as appropriate.
  • Provide specialist advice and training to colleagues on area of activity.
