    Job Overview:

A wonderful opportunity is now available for a dynamic, skilled Chartered Physiotherapist with a flexible approach to take on the role of Clinical Specialist in Chronic Pain Management at Area Centre (North Wales).

Pain Services have always embraced a multi-professional approach to managing chronic pain. Physiotherapy, among other professions, brings a comprehensive skill-set to the clinical team and plays a vital role in delivering pain management techniques and approaches within the Health Board.

The individual in this role will serve as an autonomous clinical specialist practitioner, with an extended scope of physiotherapy practice, collaborating within a team to provide a specialist service to patients referred to the chronic pain service.

Supporting and educating Pain Team members and other therapy colleagues from broader services is a key aspect of the position.

The physiotherapy service at BCUHB offers a complete career pathway to Band A as a clinical advanced practitioner. Staff are encouraged to engage in service enhancement and growth, with access to regular supervision and training.

This is a chance to be part of a large, established, and supportive team in a stunning area of the UK.

    Main Duties of the Job:
    • Development and delivery of high-quality service within the Physiotherapy sub-specialism across BCUHB
    • Assessment and management of complex patients
    • Development of practice opportunities that broaden traditional physiotherapy scope
    • Training and mentoring of physiotherapists and support staff to provide top-notch, evidence-based service
    • Implementation of governance arrangements within the sub-specialty area

Proficiency in Welsh is advantageous for this position; both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged to apply.
