Description

The Ophthalmology team have an exciting opportunity for an AMD ( Age Related Macular Degeneration) Clinic coordinator/Secretary. This position is an integral part of the ophthalmology team and the care it provides to our patients.

Due to the condition of these patients, you will be responsible in ensuring all patients are seen within their dedicated timeframe for their treatment.

This individual will be responsible for booking all AMD patients as well as managing the NEW and FUP waiting list and will also be working closely with the Retinal Secretarial team.

There will also be elements of the Assistant PA role attached to this position and sharing of these responsibilities, such as covering the Personal Assistant during leave etc.

You will be required to liaise with a number of professionals includingthe management team, clinical staff, Opticians and our Consultant team and so good communication skills are essential to this role.
