Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Cardiac Administrative Officer to join our team.


You will need to be able to communicate effectively with all staff members and staff and have a sensitive understanding of children and vulnerable adults.


You will be responsible for maintaining the Cardiac Reception to a high standard, greeting patients, answering telephone enquiries, booking all cardiac tests and other administrative duties.


  • Being responsible for booking of all Cardiac Investigations appointments
  • Arriving and dealing with patients face to face when visiting the department
  • Answering the telephone and dealing with enquiries
  • Working efficiently independently, as well as part of an admin team and wider Cardiac Investigations team
  • Demonstrating good attention to detail
  • Communicating with staff and patients regarding technical data and to have an understanding/knowledge of medical terminology specific to Cardiac Investigations
  • Planning and booking diagnostic appointments with adherence to diagnostic booking rules
  • Organising and managing own workload
  • Being aware of and work in accordance with Trust and departmental policies and procedures

Form constructive and effective working relationships with patients,
consultants, medical secretaries, bed manager, transport, GP surgeries, ward
staff, porters, rehabilitation nurses, heart failure nurses and arrhythmia
