    Job role: Head of Environment, Social & Governance

    Location: London, occasional UK travel

    Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

    Emeria UK operates in the residential real estate sector through its operating brands of FirstPort, Innovus, Knight Square and Campions.

    As Head of ESG, you will contribute to our vision of being the leader of residential real estate services in the UK by:

    • Being responsible developing and implementing the framework and structure to deliver the ESG strategy for Emeria UK
    • Ensuring compliance with ESG and related laws and regulations, current and future, applicable for the sector in which Emeria UK operates

    This role reports to the CFO and will have a close working relationship the Emeria Group SVP, Strategy & CSR.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability and ESG strategy that aligns with the Company's mission, values and business objectives.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership in Emeria UK and Emeria Group (France) to integrate consistent ESG considerations into the overall strategy.
    • Drive sustainability initiatives, fostering a culture of responsible business practices, and enhancing transparency and reporting efforts.
    • Embed the ESG strategy by setting measurable goals and targets for ESG performance.
    • Develop internal / external ESG reporting frameworks / tools, working collaboratively across Emeria UK divisions establishing the link between sustainability and financial performance.
    • Lead development of the CO2 roadmap for scopes 1-3, footprint analysis and related actions.
    • Oversee preparation and publication of annual sustainability and ESG reports in accordance with relevant reporting and governance frameworks (eg CSRD).
    • Own the Company's mid-year and annual statutory SECR reporting requirements, across all divisions as per the BEIS guidelines.
    • Develop and maintain an ESG dashboard for functional leaders and the executive team.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG principles into the organisation's daily operating practices, governance and decision-making processes across all divisions.
    • Working with suppliers, develop and implement responsible sustainability purchasing charter.
    • In collaboration with divisional MDs, identify contractual ESG requirements to differentiate customer offering.
    • Lead and drive forward the efforts to reduce environmental impact, improve social responsibility, and enhance corporate governance.
    • Monitor and evaluate ESG performance against industry standards and benchmarks.
    • Stay up to date with ESG trends, regulations, and best practices to achieve continuous improvement and anticipate potential impacts on the business.
    • Proactively develops process improvements and efficiencies without sacrificing data integrity and internal control compliance.
    • Acting as a thought leader in ESG, co-ordinating with key internal functions, Emeria Group CSR department to ensure ESG message aligns the Company's purpose and strategy.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with both internal (all divisions) and external stakeholders, including customers, employees, and regulatory bodies.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for enquiries related to ESG and sustainability matters.
    • Identify and assess ESG-related risks and opportunities, providing strategic guidance to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
    • Establish KPIs and targets related to ESG, monitor and report on progress towards ESG goals, ensuring continuous improvement.
    • Conduct training sessions to enhance awareness and understanding of ESG concepts.

    Person Specification

    Experience

    • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role and in-depth knowledge of ESG, related frameworks, reporting standards, and relevant regulations.
    • Experience of collating and interpreting carbon footprint data and implementing ESG strategies
    • Collaborative and influential leadership style, capable of fostering cross-functional teamwork and driving alignment toward ESG goals.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
    • Analytical mindset to interpret ESG data and identify trends, bring best practice to role.
    • Ability to foster a culture and environment that empowers and inspires colleagues to contribute to ESG initiatives.
    • Commitment to ethical principles, sustainability and social responsibility
    • Strong strategic planning and execution abilities, with a track record of driving measurable impact and change.
