Key responsibilities of a CCTV officer:

To be responsible for all aspects of the operational management of the various CCTV Systems belonging to and used by the council. Collaborating and supporting with internal and external Partner Agencies to achieve the required outcomes.
To operationally manage the 'day to day' activities of all CCTV systems under the direction of the responsible Community Protection Manager within Community Protection.
To facilitate requests from Tasking Groups requiring CCTV installs in ASB Hotspots. To manage CCTV inventory effectively and responding to urgent requests for installs expediently.
To record and audit how CCTV data is downloaded, managed and stored securely by trained and nominated Police and Council users of CCTV systems. To provide ongoing training for officers as technology develops and act as a SPOC for technical/software related matters.
To carry out regular audits and review of all deployed CCTV to assess for continued compliance within the framework of accountability, transparency, and guidance of relevant legislation.

Qualifications & Experience

Full driving licence and access to a car for business use is essential.
Level 7 qualification e.g. Post Graduate Certificates and Diplomas with a considerable breadth and depth of knowledge.
A range of areas Or Evidence of the equivalent level of knowledge gained through work experience.
